SPRINGVILLE — The Susquehanna County Career and Technology Center graduated its fourth class of Practical Nurse students Friday evening, March 11. The ceremony was held in the auditorium of the Elk Lake School.

Elk Lake/SCCTC Superintendent Dr. Kenneth Cuomo and School Board President Arden Tewksbury were present for the ceremony, as well as Dr. Alice Davis, SCCTC Executive Director.

Brittany Sisson, LPN, Class of 2015 was the guest speaker, followed by Karen Killian, Nursing Instructor, who delivered an inspirational speech that congratulated the graduates for their compassion, empathy and knowledge necessary to be the best nurses they can be. The entire SCCTC Nursing staff participated.

A new SCCTC Practical Nurse class started just days after the graduation and will be graduate in September. Another class will start in September and the nursing staff is hoping to draw students from local school districts by encouraging seniors that are interested in the health care field to enroll.
