SCRANTON — Top Value Kitchens held a ribbon cutting ceremony Friday afternoon at its new location, 6 Oakwood Dr., Scranton. The business held a soft opening on April 15. Another location, at 17 East Center St., Shavertown, has served the Wilkes-Barre area for 25 years.

“I’ve always wanted another location,” said Robert, Nause, president of Top Value Kitchens. “I didn’t know Scranton was going to be the spot. Two of our retailers, KraftMaid and Omega Cabinetry, persuaded me to take a look and I think it’s a great location. Access to the city is real easy and access to the Abingtons and Clarks Summit is great. The response we’ve been getting so far from our customers has been very positive. Now, a lot of builders and contractors are visiting to see what products and services we can provide.”

According to Nause, the business has flourished at its Shavertown location.

“It’s grown tremendously, especially in high-end design work,” he said. “In Luzerne County, we’ve won numerous awards from the local BIA (Business Industry Association) chapter for new construction and remodeling design.”

The Scranton location has 1 1/2 employees and Nause hopes the number grows, based on need.
