SCRANTON — The Lung Cancer Alliance PA Chapter recently held a more relaxed version of “doing laps” for charity. While many local charities offer walks and runs, the LCA PA decided to offer laps in the Lazy River at Montage Water Park. Giving out awareness bracelets and papers to those in attendance, those playing at the water park were able to purchase raffle tickets and enjoy lunch with guest bartender, Dr. Karen Arscott, at the Slocum Hollow Bar and Restaurant. For information about the LCA, visit lungcanceralliance.org. The chapter also holds a monthly meeting at the Center for Comprehensive Cancer Care, 5 Morgan Highway, Scranton, at 6 p.m. the first Wednesday of each month.
