SOUTH ABINGTON TWP. — Chinchilla Hose Company volunteers visited the South Abington Elementary school Friday, Oct. 9 for a fire prevention and safety presentation. Assistant Chief PJ Hughes gave the students tips on what to do in case of a fire and how to stay safe at home and at school. The volunteers also showed off some of the department’s tools and equipment and demonstrated how they work.
