WAVERLY — The Upstairs Thrift Shop at the Waverly Community House, 1115 N. Abington Road, is celebrating its one-year anniversary with sales and bargains.

The business is an upscale thrift store specializing in gently-used and sometimes new clothing for the entire family, shoes and accessories, household items, toys and games and more. All proceeds benefit the Waverly Community House, a non-profit organization.

The success of Upstairs Thrift’s first year in business is credited to shopkeeper extraordinaire Victoria Maybeck and volunteers Meg Dempsey, Rachel Gilbert and Georgia Bass, who volunteer their time, creative energy and commitment to developing the shop. Due to the generosity of the people of the community, new merchandise arrives daily.

The shop is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays. For more information, call 570-319-9237 or email vkmaybeck@gmail.com.
