TUNKHANNOCK — What do you get when you mix imagination, mixed media, talent, and pride in accomplishment?
To find out, visit the ArtWorks Tunkhannock exhibit at the Dietrich Theater, on display through the end of November.
An arts program located in the Keystone Community Resources building on Bridge Street, ArtWorks Tunkhannock “celebrates the artist in each of us through fine art instruction, gallery exhibitions, and a variety of special programs in the arts.” Part of that mission is “full inclusion of persons with disabilities into the larger arts community.”
All works in the exhibit are for sale and a “meet the artists” reception will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22. Keystone Konfections, the onsite bakery at Keystone Community Resources, will provide the refreshments for the event.
The exhibit, entitled “Disabilities Didn’t Get Us Down,” features the work of 13 artists currently enrolled in the award-winning art program taught by ArtWorks instructor Kaitlin Bobrovcan. All are invited to see and purchase the artworks of Anna Witkoski, A.J Weidner, Brenda Hunting, Carol Fulkersin, Dean Search, Jeremy Dickinson, Joey Pallando, Karen Frey, Mary Rose Dzursin, Stephen Fronczek, Monica Wilde, Steven Vitale, and William Moore.
