Pennsylvania State Police offer free child safety seat checks

DUNMORE — During the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s “Click It or Ticket” campaign, running from Nov. 16 through 29, the Pennsylvania State Police Troop R will conduct free child safety seat checks from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17 at Scranton Toyota, 3400 N. Main Ave., Scranton and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21 at the Pennsylvania State Police barracks in Dunmore.

All parents and caregivers are urged by the PSP to attend a child safety seat check to insure that their child’s safety seat is properly installed. Certified Child Passenger Safety Seat Technicians will inspect the seat and assist with making any corrections. They will also help to educate the public on the proper seat to use.
