Clarks Summit resident Cheryl MacDonald-Sweet named director of the trauma service line at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital

WILKES-BARRE — Cheryl MacDonald-Sweet, of Clarks Summit, was named director of the trauma service line at Commonwealth Health Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

MacDonald-Sweet has been an emergency room and trauma nurse at CMC and also served as a critical care nurse educator and injury prevention/outreach coordinator. She also worked as a trauma program manager at other local hospitals. She serves as a forensic nurse for the Lackawanna County Children’s Advocacy Center and is the director of the paramedic program at Lackawanna College.
