Abington Heights High School receives four-star health designation

HERSHEY — Abington Heights High School obtained a four-star Healthy Champion status from the Penn State Hershey PRO Wellness Center. The school is among 27 percent of Pennsylvania schools that have achieved four-star status. Schools can obtain a maximum of five stars. Based on the Institute of Medicine’s recommendations for goals and strategies to prevent obesity, schools were awarded stars based on answers to questions in the following categories: community partnerships, nutrition and nutrition education, health promotion, physical education and activity and employee wellness.
