SOUTH ABINGTON TWP. — Four Scranton residents are dead following a two-car accident on Interstate-81 Saturday.
At 1 a.m. Saturday morning a 2016 Lincoln MKZ was traveling in the wrong direction, southbound, on I-81 near mile-marker 192.7 in South Abington Township when it crashed head-on into a 2007 Honda Accord.
The crash is under investigation, but the Lackawanna County Coroner’s office did identify the victims as Ashley Wheeler, 32, of Scranton; Vinodchandra Patel, 68; Komal Vyas, 30, and Shilpa Patel, 29.
