As part of their study of the metric system, Wyoming Seminary fourth grade students recently designed and organized a Metric Olympics, which included a series of events and activities that used measurement. Events such as the long jump, paper clip chains, gram guessing, race car rally and other events allowed the students to compete and measure their efforts, using the metric system. The students designated judges for the events and awarded first, second and third place ribbons. Participating in the race car rally, from left, Cade Butcher, of Kingston, event judge; Alexis Lichtenstein, of Forty Fort, event judge; Sienna Popple, of Bear Creek Township, contestant; Liam Davis, of Trucksville, contestant; Aiden Jordan, of Factoryville, contestant and Calvin Platt, of Clarks Summit, event judge.
