FACTORYVILLE — Lackawanna Trail School District held the third annual Trail K’Nex In-House Competition Feb. 26-29.

The STEM design challenge for this year was to create an eco-friendly building out of K’Nex pieces at least 1 meter tall that could hold weight. Middle school teams also had to submit an inventory of pieces used and an overall cost of their building. The top three teams from the fourth-fifth grade and sixth-eighth grade divisions advance to compete in the regional competition at Johnson College on March 21 with other teams from NEIU 19.
