SCRANTON — Lackawanna County libraries are offering readers a new kind of reading challenge for adults during the month of March and a chance to win a Samsung Galaxy S2 8.0 tablet.

To compete, readers must read three books during the month. Designed to make the challenge fun, they must choose the books they read from among 22 categories that include such things as “a book with a one word title,” “a book you can finish in a day,” and “a book you choose by the look of its cover.” As long as they read one from each of three categories, they will be entered in the drawing for the grand prize.

All the categories are listed on the entry form, which can be obtained at any Lackawanna County library.

The grand prize is a Samsung Galaxy S2 8.0 tablet and additional prizes will be awarded at each library.

Anyone with a library card can sign up. Librarians have assembled book suggestions for those who want help choosing.
