SCRANTON — Green Ridge Om and Wellness Center, located in the old Ritz Building, 222 Wyoming Ave., will host Abington Christian Academy sophomore Elizabeth Treat, 16, during the May First Friday Scranton event.

The Falls resident has been painting and drawing for most of her young life. The focus of this show, which she titled “The Colors of Creation,” is acrylics on canvas. Treat describes her work as modern and vibrant.

Mentored by Annette Brush, Treat has the opportunity to teach her own art class two days a week in her community at school. Priding herself in her work, she recently won an award in the Scholastic Art Awards.

“The Colors of Creation” will be available for viewing and purchase from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, May 6.
