Instead of making a paper craft this month, I have a challenge for all kids to create your own science fiction creation.

Use your LEGOs, K’NEX, popsicle sticks, KEVA planks or any other materials you choose and make something futuristic.

Can you make a robot? A two-headed dinosaur? Or how about a spacecraft?

Here are two sci-fi creations made from friends of the Dalton Community Library. The LEGO creation, made by Johnny, is a bus that can drive forward, backward or sideways without changing the physical direction of the vehicle. The K’NEX creation, made by Carly, is a car/boat. It has wheels to ride like a car, but when flipped over, it has paddles to go in the water.

What kind of sci-fi creation can you make?

Carly’s K’NEX creation is like a car and boat in one.
