SCRANTON — The 10th Annual Nancy McCormick Volleyball Tournament will take place on Saturday, May 28 at the Dunmore High School, with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m.

The tournament is hosted each year at Dunmore High School during Memorial Day Weekend by a group of family and friends of the late Nancy McCormick, who died from colon cancer and was a teacher, loving wife and mother of five.

A portion of proceeds from the tournament supports the Northeast Regional Cancer Institute’s Patient Navigation Program. The Patient Navigation Program helps low income, uninsured, and under-insured individuals in northeast Pennsylvania receive necessary breast, cervical and colon cancer screenings.

To date, the tournament has raised approximately $30,500 for the Northeast Regional Cancer Institute. The Cancer Institute invests 100 percent of its resources locally.
