SWEET VALLEY — The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission is offering a free fly fishing introduction course from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 25 at Lackawanna State Park.

This course is designed for families interested in learning the basics of fly fishing equipment, casting techniques and on water skills. It provides a place to learn fly fishing basics and meet other people interested in fishing.

Preregistration is required by 4 p.m. June 23 and can be completed online at gonefishingpa.com under the family fishing program link. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis and space is limited. Participants should dress for outdoor weather. The program will be held rain or shine.
