CLARKS SUMMIT — If you feel you’re in need of spiritual healing or would like a peek into your future, the Finish Shop Pocket Park on Depot Street in Clarks Summit is the place to be Saturday, July 23.
Whitney Mulqueen, owner of Goddess Creations at 116 Depot St., Suite 5, will host a Holistic Summer Psychic Faire from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The event will also serve as a fundraiser for the Women’s Resource Center in Scranton. All proceeds from the $3 entry fee and a 50/50 raffle will be donated to the center.
“I was a victim of domestic violence and without them I would not be here to help other people,” Mulqueen said. “It’s important for me to give back because the women at the center spent countless hours helping me.”
Mulqueen feels it’s very important to give back to the community whenever possible.
“I have done many faires in the past and always chose a local organization as a fundraiser to attach to the event,” she said.
The faire will feature certified evidential mediums, tarot card readers, integrated energy therapy, advanced energy healing and past life energy, and aura and chakra energy healing.
“It will be a fun, eclectic day supporting a local organization that does a lot of good in the community,” Mulqueen said.
Members of the Pennsylvania Paranormal Society, based out of Factoryville, will also be present.
Food vendors will include Rein Beau, who will offer fresh kimchi and fresh juices, and Caribbean Cuizine, which specializes in jerk chicken and beef with rice and beans.
Paul Calvert will sell fresh produce and Amish-crafted goods, and Jane Martini will sell jewelry.
“There will be new age healing experiences and something for everyone,” Mulqueen said.
Awnshae Smith of Scranton will provide musical entertainment on the ukulele from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will also be opportunities for musicians to perform acoustic pieces throughout the faire.
