The 24th Annual Hook O’Malley 5K Run/Walk Against Cancer, in memory of Paul Hook O’Malley, will be held Sunday, Aug. 21 at McDade Park in Scranton, rain or shine. Registration will be open from 8:15 to 9:45 a.m. and the race will begin promptly at 10 a.m. Pre-registration cost is $20 until Thursday, Aug. 18 and the race day cost is $25. The first 50 registrants will receive T-shirts. Refreshments will be served and awards presented in various age groups. For pre-registration information, call 570-341-7787.
