The Lakeland School District will begin its school year next week, with the following activities scheduled.
• Open House, 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 22 at both Scott Campus and Mayfield Campus for all elementary students and parents.
• Seventh Grade Orientation, 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23 at Lakeland High School for parents and students.
• First day of school for all Lakeland students, Thursday, Aug. 25.
