TUNKHANNOCK — The Endless Mountains Nature Center will hold a Fall Native Plant Sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17 at the its lodge, 1309 Vosburg Road. The event will take place rain or shine, and will include a flea market, bake sale, food and craft vendors, music, tours of the gardens and more.

During the growing season the Native Plant Garden bursts with colorful blooms and bustles with pollinators. After nine years of growing, many of the plants have become large enough to be divided. Some plants were divided and potted earlier this summer. Some plants can be divided on the spot.

Knowledgeable volunteers will be on hand to recommend plants for specific growing conditions. Many of the plants will be native, while all grow in the local climate. Nature center plants will be available for a donation, and will come with growing and care instructions. There will also be plants available from the Edge of the Woods Native Plant Nursery, which will be priced as marked.

Flea market vendor spaces are available at $25 per 10-foot space or $40 per 20-foot space. To make a reservation, call the center at 570-836-3835, then send contact information and a check to hold the spot to Endless Mountains Nature Center, Attn: Amber, 1309 Vosburg Road, Tunkhannock, PA, 18657. No spaces will be held without receipt of payment before the event.

Available plants from the Nature Center include: Eastern Prickly Pear Cactus, Wild Ginger, Pink Turtlehead, Wild Bergamot (bee balm). There will be other plants, as well, from the gardens of volunteers.
