NICHOLSON — The Northern Tier Symphony Orchestra, a nonprofit community orchestra, is seeking musicians for the upcoming season.

Because string instruments are the core of an orchestra, there are always openings in the violin, viola, cello and bass sections. Other lesser-played instruments, such as oboe, bassoon, French horn, and percussion are also needed, and they will also hear other brass and woodwind instruments to fill extra parts and future needs.

Concerts are scheduled for Nov. 12 in Wyalusing, Nov. 19 in Peckville, and Dec. 3 in Tunkhannock.
