The Country Club of Scranton Women’s Golf Association raised $2,000 through its annual “Putts for Charity” Memorial Golf Tournament in late June to honor deceased members from the organization. The Northeast Regional Cancer Institute was this year’s chosen benefiting organization. The proceeds will benefit the Cancer Institute’s Patient Navigation Program which helps low income, uninsured, and underinsured individuals who are not up to date with colon, breast, and cervical cancer screenings.
