Lakeland School District fifth-grade student Emmalee Shaffer’s breakfast routine recently led to a $1,000 windfall for her school. The 11-year-old was eating her cereal when she read about the Box Top contest on the back of the box. She entered and won. A $1,000 prize was awarded to Lakeland’s Scott Campus Elementary PTA by Box Tops for Education. Emmalee’s class also won a pizza party for its Box Top collecting efforts.
