#109 Vegetarian Cuisine

Chef Donna Vannan is back from Terra Preta with a menu of vegetarian cuisine. The class will start with Spicy Mango pickles. The entree will be one of the items featured at the Globe Store holiday market - Vegetable Curry paired with a coconut lemongrass basmati rice. And due to numerous requests she will share her family Pavlova recipe.

#123 Days of Our Lives: Journals and Memoirs

Meet with others who also need that extra little “push” to do some writing. The group, led by Anne Armezzani, will explore journal and memoir writing in a relaxed, nonjudgmental atmosphere to help participants create and write down their untold stories.

When: at 6:30 p.m. Thursdays, March 16, 23 and 30 and April 6

#126 For the Love of Books

New members are welcome to the Community Classroom monthly reading group. Bring your lunch and meet to discuss literature with other book lovers. This month’s book is “The Secret Life of CeeCee Wilkes” by Diane Chamberlain.

#124 Elementary Spanish

Sarah Martin, who taught college level Spanish for 12 years, is now offering her expertise for an introduction to spoken and written Spanish for those with little or no experience with the language. An intermediate level may follow based on interest.

When: at 1 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, April 4, 6, 11, 18, 20, 25 and 27 and May 2

#117 Spoon Carving

Learn the techniques of carving, with this beginning class that covers safe knife grasp, sharpening of tools, layouts and suiting design to function. Each student will create a hand crafted wooden spoon.

When: at 6 p.m. Thursdays, March 23 and 30

#130 Ukulele Class One Beginners

This course is designed for a beginner with no musical background. Learn all the basics about a fun little instrument called the ukulele. Students will learn several fun songs that will have them strumming and singing by the end of the first class.

When: 7 to 7:45 p.m. Mondays, March 20 and 27

#131 - Ukulele Class Two: with some experience

Join Steve Kurilla for some strumming fun while learning to play the ukulele in an entertaining, stress-free setting. The class will cover many ukulele basics while singing along to familiar songs. Students will learn about right and left hand technique, melody reading, chord reading and more. This class is a continuation of our fall ukulele class with songs that are suitable for beginners through intermediate players.

When: 7 to 7:45 p.m. Mondays, April 3, 10, 17 and 24

#135 - Proper Pruning

Learn from Josh Arp, local Shade Tree Commissioner, as he presents an indoor program on preparing trees and lawns for the warm weather. His PowerPoint on pruning techniques will help take the guesswork out of cutting back old growth, so trees and plants will be at their best this summer.

#103 and #104 Ball Room Dancing

Jill and Gehred Wetzel, dance educators and enthusiasts, will teach intermediate and beginner classes in a relaxed setting.

#104- West Coast Swing 7 to 8 p.m.
