TUNKHANNOCK — This year’s Open Mic season at the Dietrich Theater will kick off by featuring Ben Keiser, a young local artist, at 7 p.m. Friday, March 24 in the Peg Fassett Performance Studio.

The Open Mic stage will also welcome local artists, storytellers, comedians, poets and others looking for a way to share their talents with a supportive audience. Sign-ups are held at 6:30 p.m. the night of the event.

Keiser has performed in a few Open Mic Nights at the Dietrich, but this is his first time headlining the free event. The pianist and vocalist has a passion for songwriting and music. He has performed in school settings, open mics, and recently at Kutztown University. He enjoys playing both original songs and various popular covers and seeks musical inspiration from Maroon 5, Billy Joel and the Beatles.

Open Mic is scheduled for every fourth Friday from March through October. For more information, call the Dietrich at 570-996-1500.
