Committee Members of the Northeastern Lodge #63 of the Fraternal Order of Police plan this year’s Police Officers Memorial Week. From left, Chief Ed Morristel, Officer Robert Riemiller, Vice President Ken West and Chaplain Dave Repcheck. The ceremony will be held at noon Saturday, May 20 at the Moscow Borough Building. The Lodge continues to honor those officers who died in the line of duty and remember the officers who served their communities and passed on. The host department, Moscow Police, headed by Chief Ivy Brenzel, who also serves on the memorial committee, invites any family members of deceased officers to attend. Lackawanna County Judge Andrew Jarbola will be the keynote speaker. There will be an award presentation at the conclusion of the program as the Lodge will recognize five officers from three separate departments for their heroic actions during the past year.
