TUNKHANNOCK — Storyteller Hal Pratt will share some of his Putney Tales at this month’s Open Mic Night at the Dietrich Theater, scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, May 26 in the Peg Fassett Performance Studio.

Focused around the small Appalachian community where Pratt first gathered his storytelling skills, Putney Tales moves from the humorous to the creepy, all the while celebrating the wonder of words. Pratt has been telling stories for 35 years and particularly enjoys sharing them with an adult audience.

Pratt will also present “Why-So” Stories at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 17 at the Dietrich.

Sign-ups are at 6:30 p.m. the night of the Open Mic.

Next month’s Open Mic Night will take place on Friday, June 23, with guitarist Jason Vo as the headliner.
