LA PLUME – The Countryside Conservancy invites the community to celebrate summer’s end in the great outdoors at its 23rd Annual Tailgate Picnic on Sunday, Sept. 17 at the non-profit land trust’s Little Rocky Glen Preserve on Lithia Valley Road, just off of Route 6 in Clinton Township, Wyoming County.

The event will begin at 3 p.m. and continue until dusk.

Attendees should pack a picnic lunch, along with a dish to share.

The Mighty Optimistic String Band from Springville will provide live music, and the conservancy will set up an open-air grill to roast corn, with s’mores for dessert. People can explore the hiking trails of Little Rocky Glen or just kick back and enjoy the music and food.

Picnic admission is free to Countryside Conservancy members and the suggested donation for non-members is $10 per carload.

Countryside Conservancy will hold its 23rd Annual Tailgate Picnic Potluck from 3 p.m. to dusk Sunday, Sept. 17 at Little Rocky Glen Preserve.
