TUNKHANNOCK — Vocal Accord, a local quartet, will be the headliner at this month’s Open Mic Night at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27 in the Dietrich Theater’s Peg Fassett Performance Studio.

The quartet includes a mix of experienced and novice talent. Tenor Raleigh Bloch earned two bronze medals at the international competition level in 2004 and 2005. Lead singer Don Overdorff is from a family of singers and started at a young age in church, school choirs, solos and quartets. Lou Volpetti sings baritone in two quartets and two choruses and bass in his church choir. Bass singer Dane Bower is the novice of the group with three years experience.

Sign-ups for the open mic portion of the evening are held at 6:30 p.m. Local artists, storytellers, comedians, poets, musicians and other types of performers looking for a way to share their talents with a live audience are welcome to participate.

This will be the final Open Mic Night of the season. For information, call the Dietrich at 570-996-1500.
