Brandon Perigard named to dean’s list

EASTON, Mass. — Clarks Summit native Brandon Perigard, a member of the Class of 2016, was named to the spring 2015 dean’s list at Stonehill College. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must have a semester grade point average of 3.50 or better and must have completed successfully all courses for which they were registered.

Perigard is a Criminology and Interdisciplinary Studies major at the college.

Dalton student named to dean’s list

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. — The University of Hartford announced Stephen Gorczyk, of Dalton, was named to its dean’s list for spring 2015.

Area residents named to dean’s list

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Matthew Lovecchio, of South Abington Township, class of 2018, and Robert Pinches, of Clarks Summit, class of 2016, were named to the dean’s list at Providence College for the spring 2015 semester. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must achieve at least a 3.55 grade point average with a minimum of 12 credits.

Mitrow named to dean’s list

NEW HAVEN, Conn. — Kaitlinn Mitrow, of Clarks Summit, was named to the dean’s list at the University of New Haven for the Spring 2015 semester. Full-time undergraduate students must have a 3.50 or better cumulative GPA for the semester to be eligible for the dean’s list.

Durkin graduates from Widener University

WILMINGTON, Del. — Patrick Durkin, of Waverly, earned a Juris Doctor from the Widener University School of Law Delaware campus on May 16.

University of Scranton Announces Spring 2015 Dean’s List

Elizabethtown College announces first-year students

ELIZABETHTOWN — Megan Kane and Melissa Spencer, both of South Abington Township, have been accepted into the class of 2019 at Elizabethtown College. Both are graduates of Abington Heights High School.

Local Students Named To Dean’s List At Loyola University Maryland

BALTIMORE, Md. — Zachary Lansdowne and Daniel Horvath, of Clarks Summit, and Heather Holzman, of Dalton, have been named to the spring 2015 dean’s list at Loyola University Maryland. In order to qualify, a student must achieve a minimum GPA of at least 3.500 for the term, provided that, in the term they successfully completed courses totaling a minimum of 15 credits.

Voelkner graduates from the University of Rhode Island

KINGSTON, R.I. — Kathryn Voelkner, of Clarks Summit, received a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and Technology, Minor in Psychology, Minor in Biology at the University of Rhode Island’s 129th commencement.

Local students named to high honors dean’s list at Wyoming Sem Upper School

KINGSTON — Eamon Gibbons, of Clarks Summit, and Sukanya Roy, of South Abington Township, have been named to the dean’s list at Wyoming Seminary Upper School for the spring trimester of the 2014-2015 academic year.

Wyoming Seminary Dean Jay Harvey announced the Upper School Dean’s List for the spring trimester of the 2014-2015 academic year. Abington area students who received Dean’s List High Honors are Eamon Gibbons, of Clarks Summit and Sukanya Roy, of South Abington Township.

Wyoming Sem Lower School announces third term honor roll

FORTY FORT — Brenna Jordan, of Factoryville, nd Hannah Frels, of Dalton, both sixth-grade students, were named to the honor roll at Wyoming Seminary Lower School.

Jordan, a sixth-grade students, was named to the high honor roll while Frels was named to the honor roll.

Mills Named to dean’s list at University of Central Missouri

WARRENSBURG, MO. — Joseph Mills, of Clarks Summit, earned a place on the spring 2015 semester dean’s list at University of Central Missouri. Mills’ academic work earned him a place on the 3.5 to 3.99 list.

Abington residents honored at U of S graduate commencement

SCRANTON — Susan Wilkerson, of Clarks Summit and David White, of South Abington Township, were among The University of Scranton graduate students recognized for academic excellence at commencement. Wilkerson was presented the Outstanding Academic Award for Clinical Mental Health Counseling and White received the Outstanding Academic Award for International Business.

Factoryville student named to dean’s Llst at Lafayette College

EASTON — Aliza Furneaux, of Factoryville, was named to the 2015 spring semester dean’s list at Lafayette College for outstanding academic achievement. To qualify for dean’s list, a student must achieve at least a 3.60 semester grade point average on a scale of 4.0. Furneaux is a graduate of Lackawanna Trail High School.

Owen Houser graduates from Colgate University

HAMILTON, N.Y. — Owen Houser, of Factoryville, a Peace and Conflict Studies major, is a member of the Colgate University Class of 2015. Houser is one of 732 students to graduate from Colgate on May 17 during the university’s 194th commencement.
