Dietrich Theater plans seven movies for seven-day Summer Fest

TUNKHANNOCK — The Dietrich Theater is adding a film festival this summer to its list of yearly events, including the fall and spring film festivals. Summer Fest will feature seven foreign and independent movies in seven days, with opening night slated for Friday, July 24. The festival will run through Thursday, July 30.

Opening night will feature two movies, “Far From the Madding Crowd” and “Five Flights Up.” Light accompaniments to wine and beer will precede the first movie and freshly-made homemade strawberry shortcake will be served between the movies.

Tickets to opening night are $25.

The other five movies to be featured during Summer Fest are “Clouds of Sils Maria,” “In the Name of My Daughter,” “Iris,” “Love and Mercy” and “Where Hope Grows.”
