ASTON — Factoryville residents Kaitlyn Sawicki and Courtney Wood, senior members of the field hockey team, were among 50 Keystone College student-athletes named to the fall 2015 Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) All-Academic Team on Thursday, Jan. 28. The Giants set a new record for academic excellence for the third consecutive year.

The CSAC All-Academic Team recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a grade-point average of 3.20 or higher during their semester of competition, while using a full season of eligibility as determined by the NCAA.

Marywood University led all institutions with 78 honorees.

Eight CSAC Athletes of the Year were named All-Academic honorees, including Keystone’s John Ciccone, the conference’s men’s cross country individual champion.

Sawicki is majoring in sport and recreation management while Wood is studying early childhood education.
