Abington Gators split swim meet against Danville Dolphins

SOUTH ABINGTON TWP. — The Abington Gators boys swim team defeated the Danville Dolphins, 134-59, in a Northeastern Pennsylvania Age Group Swim League (NEPAGSL) competition on Saturday, Jan. 30 at the Abington Heights High School pool.

Matthew Evans posted four first place finishes for the Gators; Thomas Scott, Kevin Noldy, Andrew LaQuiantano, Joey Marinaro, Ryan Walsh, Derrick Williams and Jarred Ocwieja had three wins apiece; Jack Walsh, Rodman Azar, Gavin Waibel and Kevin Guditus had two wins; and Adam Paranich, Geoff Brock and Calvin Platt each had one win.

The Gators girls team was defeated by Danville, 167-88. Kailey Rillstone, Lilly Haggerty, Peyton Gualtieri and Kyra Sladicki each posted two wins. Lilly Hufford, Kaitlynn Clark, Abby Brock, Noelle Ruane, Lucy Earl and Taylor Evans all had one win.

The NEPAGSL is a 12-team, competitive swim league for boys and girls ages six to 14.
