SOUTH ABINGTON TWP. — Three Abington Heights student-athletes competed in the 2016 USA Powerlifting High School Nationals, March 31-April 3 in Orlando, Florida.
Matt Devine placed fourth in the boys varsity 114-pound weight class by lifting a total of 918.50 pounds in the squat, bench and deadlifts.
Hannah White placed ninth in the girls junior varsity 148-pound weight class by lifting a total of 583 pounds.
Kayleigh Tokash placed 10th in the girls varsity 114-pound weight class by lifting a total of 572 pounds.
Members of the Abington Heights powerlifting team will compete in the Pennsylvania State Coaches Powerlifting Association High School Championships on Saturday, April 30 in Glen Mills.
