Blue Ridge defeated Lackawanna Trail, 7-1, in a Lackawanna League Division 4 game on Thursday, April 21 in New Milford. Nick Rolka, Nathan Rolka and Thomas Vokes each had a hit for the Lions.

Cougars down Cavs

Valley View defeated Scranton Prep, 9-8, in a Lackawanna League Division 1 game on Thursday, April 21 in Scranton. Vince Cimini knocked in three runs for Prep. Tyler Stafursky had two RBI’s and Kyler McAllister and Kyle Polishan each drove in one.

Knights edge Comets

Scranton defeated Abington Heights, 9-7, in a Lackawanna League Division 1 game on Thursday, April 21 in South Abington Township. Luke Fayocavitz, Zach Spangenberg, Sam Arnold, Matt Hughes and Nick Carlini each had an RBI for the Comets.

Lions fall to Blue Devils

Old Forge defeated Lackawanna Trail, 12-2, in a Lackawanna League crossover game on Wednesday, April 20 in Old Forge. Nathan Rolka had three hits and drove in two runs for the Lions.

Cougars top Cavaliers

Valley View defeated Scranton Prep, 10-3, in a Lackawanna League Division 1 game on Tuesday, April 19 in Archbald. Jake Grady drove in two runs and Jack Burke added an RBI for Prep.

Greg Fisher scored five goals to lead Scranton Prep over Wyoming Area, 17-9, in a Wyoming Valley Conference Division 2 match on Friday, April 22 in Exeter.

Cavs rout Black Knights

Scranton Prep defeated Lake-Lehman, 13-4, in a Wyoming Valley Conference Division 2 match on Wednesday, April 20 in Scranton. Daniel Hinton scored five goals to lead Prep.

Kaylee DeMatteo drove in three runs and Dominique Emmett added two RBIs to lead Abington Heights over Wallenpaupack, 10-4, in a Lackawanna League crossover game on Monday, April 25 in Hawley. Paige Harris struck out six batters and earned the win.

Lady Lions rout Lady Foresters

Mackenzie Duffy and Madison Lee each drove in two runs to lead Lackawanna Trail over Forest City, 10-2, in a Lackawanna League Division 4 game on Monday, April 25 in Factoryville. Allison Decker allowed four hits over seven innings to pick up the win.

Lady Lions too much for Lady Devils

Madison Lee had two hits and two RBIs to help Lackawanna Trail defeat Old Forge, 7-2, in a Lackawanna League crossover game on Wednesday, April 20 in Old Forge. Madisyn People added three hits and Allison Decker was credited with the win.

The Cavs’ 400 (Stage, Durr, Ryan, Horvath), 1600 (Durr, Sweeney, Bolus, Shoemaker) and 3200 (Decarli, Sauter, Doherty, Shoemaker) relay teams also placed first.

Scranton defeated Scranton Prep, 100-50, in a Lackawanna League Division 1 meet on Tuesday, April 19 in Scranton. David Horvath (100), Tristen Shoemaker (400), Kevin Holmes (200), Pat Tully (discus) and Ryan Powell (long jump) were first place finishers for Prep.

Elk Lake defeated Lackawanna Trail, 83-66, in a Lackawanna League Division 4 meet on Tuesday, April 19 in Dimock. Cody Moyle (110 hurdles, Anthony Berrios (100 and 200), and Matt Kinback (1600) were first place finishers. The Lions 400 relay team (Maier, Moyle, Bergey, Berrios) also placed first.

The Classics 400 (Thomas, Ducas, Penetar, Caucci) and 3200 (Welby, Kerr, Zehner, Lapinski)relay team also placed first.

Abington Heights defeated Valley View, 115-35, in a Lackawanna League Division 1 meet on Tuesday, April 19 in South Abington Twp. Calista Marzolino (100 hurdles and high jump), Kelsey Wynn (100), Alex Scheuermann (1600), Katie Dammer (400 and 3200), Celia Davis (300 hurdles), Carly Danoski (800), Allyson Derry (200, long jump and triple jump), Hannah White (javelin) and Dani Heine ( pole vault) were first place finishers for Abington. The Lady Comets 3200 (Calvo, Myers, Wright, Danoski), 400 (Wynn, Clauss, Henzes, Derry) and 1600 (Yarns, Danoski, Henzes, Davis) relay teams each placed first.

Scranton Prep defeated Scranton, 91-52, in a Lackawanna League Division 1 meet on Tuesday, April 19 in Scranton. Kate McGrath (100 hurdles and long jump), Kate Reilly (400, 800 and 1600), and Kat Dzwonczyk (shot put, discus and javelin) were first place finishers for the Classics. Prep’s 3200 (Welby, Lapinski, Walsh, Kerr) and 400 (Burley, Hicks, Chandler, Miles) relay teams also placed first.

Lady Lions fall to Lady Warriors

Elk Lake downed Lackawanna Trail, 117-27, in a Lackawanna League Division 4 meet on Tuesday, April 19 in Dimock. Courtney Petrilak (100 hurdles and long jump) and Amanda Kinback (800) placed first for Trail.
