Dunmore defeated Lackawanna Trail, 27-7, in a Lackawanna Football Conference Division 3 game Friday, Sept. 2 in Dunmore. Matt Bergey, who caught four passes for 105 yards, scored the only Lions touchdown on a 37-yard pass from Nathan Rolka.

Cavs crush Crusaders

Scranton Prep quarterback Jake Ryan threw for 211 yards and two touchdowns, one each to Jake Grady and Braden Burrier, to help Scranton Prep defeat Coughlin, 23-2, in a non-league game Saturday, Sept. 3 in Wilkes-Barre. Ricky Morgan added a rushing touchdown, Alec Buttner kicked a 26-yard field goal and the Cavaliers defense registered a safety.

Lions edge Meteors

John Maier, Thomas Vokes, Andy Faist and Mark DeBree earned individual wins to help Lackawanna Trail defeat Montose, 5-4, in a Lackawanna League Division 2 match Tuesday, Aug. 30 in Montrose. Faist and DeBree teams to earn a win in better-ball play.

Cavs blank Lions

Scranton Prep defeated Lackawanna Trail, 9-0, in a Lackawanna League Division 2 match Wednesday, Aug. 31 in Mt. Cobb. Sebastian Cimoch, Evan Murphy, Tyler Marchese, John Redman, Frank Adamo and Joshua Villarose had individual wins for Prep. The teams of Cimoch-Murphy, Marchese-Redman and Adamo-Villarose won in better-ball play.

Comets shut out Knights

Troy Kelleher, Will Brown, Kyle Porpiglia, Nick Sebastianelli, Daniel Flickinger and Connor Kelleher had individual wins to lead Abington Heights over Scranton, 9-0, in a Lackawanna League Division 1 match Wednesday, Aug. 31 in Clarks Summit. The teams of T. Kelleher-Brown, Porpiglia-Sebastianelli and Flickinger-C. Kelleher won in better-ball play.

Comets crush Invaders

Abington Heights defeated West Scranton, 8-1, in a Lackawanna League Division 1 match Thursday, Sept. 1 in Taylor. Luke Fayocavitz, Kyle Porpiglia, Dan Munley, Eric Middleton, and Conor Newman had individual wins for the Comets. The teams of Fayocavitz-Porpiglia, Munley-Middleton and Andrew Kirtley-Newman had wins in better-ball play.

Lady Comets top Lady Buckhorns

Abington Heights downed Wallenpaupack, 3-2, in a Lackawanna League match Wednesday, Aug. 31 in Lakeville. Catherine Pusateri and Clare DellaValle won singles matches and the team of Brooke Dennison-Macy Marturano won in doubles play.

Classics hold off Lady Warriors

Gabrielle Serratore had a singles win to help Scranton Prep defeat Delaware Valley, 3-2, in a Lackawanna League match Wednesday, Aug. 31 in Scranton. The teams of Gaba Horchos-Amelia Desiderio and Isabel Hou-Rachel Maculloch had doubles wins for Prep.
