LA PLUME — The Keystone College field hockey team has designated its match at noon Saturday, Oct. 15 on the college’s turf field as a “Blue for Tashandra” game. It will be played in memory of former Keystone student Tashandra Burton.

All proceeds from the contest, a Colonial States Athletic Conference game against Immaculata University, will go directly to the “Tashandra Burton Living Memorial Fund,” a scholarship established in loving memory of Tashandra. The scholarship will be awarded to an outstanding student who resembles all of the living characteristics that Tashandra worked so hard to accomplish.

The team will also accept donations for the memorial fund at the game.

Burton was a freshman at Keystone College when she lost her life in an automobile accident Jan. 26. She was a 2015 graduate of E.L. Meyers High School where she was a member of the girls soccer team, homecoming queen, an academic tutor, and a member of the National Honor Society.

In her time at Keystone, Burton was a member of Colleges Against Cancer and had an infectious smile that touched many hearts.
