TOWSON, Md. — The Landmark Conference and Marywood University have agreed to an affiliation in the sport of women’s golf beginning in the 2017-18 academic year. Marywood will join the existing six women’s golf programs in the conference.

In the summer of 2015, the Landmark Conference announced it would sponsor men’s and women’s golf beginning in the fall of 2017. By adding men’s and women’s golf, the conference will increase the number of sports sponsored for the first time since the conference was organized in 2006. The additions will bump the conference’s championship offerings up to 22 – 12 for women and 10 for men.

The inaugural Landmark Women’s Golf Championship will be hosted by Susquehanna April 28-29, 2018. The conference expects to receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Championships during the 2018-19 season.

Marywood University is an affiliate member of the conference in swimming and diving.
