The high school fall sports season got underway Monday, Aug. 14 with the start of official practices for cross country, field hockey, football, golf, boys soccer, girls soccer, girls tennis and girls volleyball.

Abington Heights will host Valley View and Lackawanna Trail will host Mountain View on Monday, Aug. 21 to open the golf season.

The girls tennis season will start Tuesday, Aug. 22 and Abington Heights will travel to play Holy Cross at the University of Scranton.

The football season kicks off Friday, Aug. 25 when Lackawanna Trail hosts Mid Valley. Abington Heights will host Scranton Prep on Saturday, Aug. 26.

Lackawanna Trail will travel to play Dunmore and Abington Heights will host Elk Lake on the first day of the girls volleyball season Friday, Sept. 1.

The boys soccer season will begin Tuesday, Sept. 5 with Abington Heights hosting Honesdale.

The first duel meets for cross country will be held Wednesday, Sept. 6. Abington Heights will travel to Valley View while Lackawanna Trail will be at Wallenpaupack.

Abington Heights will travel to play Wallenpaupack on the opening day of the girls soccer season Wednesday, Sept. 6.

The field hockey season will also open Sept. 6. Abington Heights will host Coughlin and Lackawanna Trail will travel to play Tunkhannock.
