CLARKS SUMMIT — The Scranton Tennis Club will hold an open house from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 21. The club is located at 1029 Morgan Hwy. The event is free to all members, guests, and the general public. Picnic food and drink will be served and players will have the opportunity to play on the club’s six Har-Tru tennis courts.

Club pro Joe McNulty, tennis director John Weiss, and other club officials will be on hand to discuss the club’s programs for adults and juniors. McNulty will also conduct a free drill clinic from noon to 1 p.m., and all are welcome to participate.

Scranton Tennis Club is a not-for-profit club, unrelated to the Country Club of Scranton, which is located nearby. The club has a full program of leagues, round robins, and tournaments available to its members. It is the host of the annual Lackawanna County Open Tennis Tournament, which will be held this year from July 14-17.

The club pro is available for both group and private instruction. He will be conducting a Junior Tennis Camp from June 27-July 1 and group junior clinics on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the summer.

Rain date for the open house is May 22.
