Nathan Rolka drove in five runs to lead Lackawanna Trail past Mountain View, 17-4, in a Lackawanna League Division 4 game Sunday, May 15 in Kingsley. Rolka also struck out 14 batters in six innings to earn the win. DJ Klinges added two RBIs for Trail.

Lions shut out Sabers

Nick Rolka and Jordan Edwards each drove in a run to help Lackawanna Trail defeat Susquehanna, 6-0, in a Lackawanna League Division 4 game Thursday, May 12 in Factoryville. Thomas Huffsmith allowed two hits and struck out seven batters over seven innings to earn the win.

Hornets outslug Comets

Honesdale defeated Abington Heights, 9-6, in a Lackawanna League crossover game Thursday, May 12 in Honesdale. Zach Spangenberg had a hit and two RBIs to lead the Comets. Nick Carlini added two hits for Abington Heights.

Knights down Cavs

Scranton defeated Scranton Prep, 7-2, in a Lackawanna League Division 1 game Thursday, May 12 in Scranton. Vince Cimini and Noah Machek each drove in a run for Prep.

Meteors knock off Lions

Montrose defeated Lackawanna Trail, 5-3, in a Lackawanna League Division 4 game Wednesday, May 11 in Montrose. Nathan Rolka led Trail with three hits, and Nick Rolka and Noah Coleman each drove in a run for the Lions.

Comets top Cougars

Ryan Harvey had three hits and two RBIs to help Abington Heights defeat Valley View, 11-6, in a Lackawanna League Division 1 game on Wednesday, May 11 in South Abington Township. Zach Spangenberg added two hits and two RBIs for the Comets. Colin McCreary held the Cougars scoreless through four innings and picked up the win.

Cavaliers nip Invaders

Noah Machek and Kyle Polishan each drove in a run to lead Scranton Prep over West Scranton, 2-1, in a Lackawanna League Division 1 game Wednesday, May 11 in Scranton. Kevin Yanul struck out three batters and picked up the complete game win.

Comets outlast Hornets

Matt Hughes had two hits and drove in two runs to lead Abington Heights past Honesdale, 10-6, in a Lackawanna League crossover game Tuesday, May 10 in South Abington Township. Peter Nolan struck out three batters and picked up the win.

Tyler Baltrusaitis had two hits and two RBIs to help Lackawanna Trail defeat Susquehanna, 5-2, in a Lackawanna League Division 4 game Tuesday, May 10 in Susquehanna. Baltrusaitis also struck out nine batters in six innings and picked up the win.

Noah Granet drove in three runs to lead Scranton Prep over Scranton, 6-5, in a nine-inning Lackawanna League Division 1 game Tuesday, May 10 in Scranton. Nate Fiala struck out nine batters and picked up the win.

Christine Kaffka scored five goals to lead Scranton Prep past Dallas, 10-7, in a Wyoming Valley Conference Division 2 match Thursday, May 12 in Dallas.

Comets win title

Abington Heights defeated Wallenpaupack, 3-0, in a District 2 Class 3A semifinal match Tuesday, May 10 in Kingston. Sahas Chandragiri, Brandon Ostrowski and Rishi Mulloth won singles matches for the Comets.

Abington Heights downed Delaware Valley, 3-0, in the District 2 Class 3A championship match Tuesday, May 10 in Kingston. Brandon Ostrowski and Rishi Mulloth had singles wins and the team of Spencer Gilbert-Jacob Linker won in doubles play.

Abington Heights defeated Forest City, 3-0, in a Lackawanna League match Wednesday, May 11 in Clarks Summit. Rhys Yarns had 12 aces, Sean Salmon had 19 assists and Rob McGarry added nine kills for the Comets.
