NEWTON TWP. — Jake Kadelak, of Drums, who races locally at Cedar BMX, claimed a Pennsylvania State Championship title for his class at the state championship race Saturday, Aug. 26 in Pittsburgh.

Kadelak rode off with a #2 plate from the championship race.

In addition, six other racers from Cedar BMX earned top state titles for their classes. Nick Brajuka, Jr., of Peckville; Jim Cook, of Tamaqua, and Devin Donadio, of Long Pond, each took second. Gavin Cook, of Tamaqua ,took third; Joey Hitchcock, of Madison Township, took fourth and Keenan Cook, of Tamaqua, earned the ninth-place spot.
