Abington Business Professional Association collects shoes during holiday open house

Participating locations will offer complimentary snacks and refreshments as well as a chance for customers to enter for a $150 holiday shopping spree in Clarks Summit.
Nov. 17 the festivities will include a day of fun in downtown with a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus beginning at 11:30 a.m. Each child that visits with Santa will receive a free gift.
The annual holiday concert and tree lighting ceremony will feature a performance by S.L.A.M.M. the Summit Baptist Bible Church's kids community choir, beginning at 6 p.m. around the tree and menorah at the Clock Tower as well as the presentation of the annual coloring contest winner.
They will also collect new and gently worn shoes for S.L.A.M.M.'s Shoe Tree project, helping to provide shoes for needy children in Kenya. The ABPA requests the public help decorate the tree in shoes that night.
Participating businesses will have special shopping hours Nov. 16-18: Nov. 16 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.;
Nov. 17 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Nov. 18 from noon to 4 p.m.
