Abington Heights reaches district football final

CLARKS SUMMIT -- Dante Pasqualichio returned a pair of first-half interceptions 29 yards for touchdowns Saturday to lead Abington Heights to a 13-6 victory over Valley View in the District 2 Class AAA football semifinals.

Abington Heights will play at Berwick, a 28-7 winner over Dallas, in next week's final.

Valley View scored its only touchdown early in the third quarter when Rob Castellani intercepted a pass then scored on a 12-yard run on the next play.

Abington Heights took a 13-0 halftime lead despite managing just one first down in the first two quarters.
