The Abington Senior Community Center, 1151 Winola Road, Clarks Summit, announced its new class lineup for 2013:

Beginner Oil Painting Class – Tuesdays, 5 week course starting January 8, 2013 from 2:45 to 4:15 p.m. Learn the basics of oil, including sketching, shading, mixing of colors and brush techniques. Everything included except canvas. Cost: $35

Beginner Latin Language Class – Wednesdays, 7 week session starting January 23 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Cost: $35

Beginner Line Dancing – Wednesdays from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Learn basic ballroom, Latin dancing, waltzes, Cha Cha, Rumba and more. No partner needed.

2013 Bus Trip Schedule:
April 16: Sight and Sound Theatres – “Noah” the musical. Day includes a stop at Kitchen Kettle Village, show and dinner at the Hershey Farm Restaurant – Cost: Members $110; Non Members $115

May 7: Penn’s Peak, Jim Thorpe – “Branson Fever” (country roots show) – includes dinner and show – Cost: Members $70; Non-Members $75

June 27: Mount Airy Casino – Includes $25.00 Slot Play, Buffet Lunch and Matinee Show – “Oh What A Night”, the music of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. Cost: Members $47; Non-Members $52

July 18: Erhardt’s Waterfront Resort – “Memories with Rich Wilson” – Relive the music of your youth with this Vegas-Style show. Includes coffee & streusel cake upon arrival, family style meal and snack upon departure. Cost: Members $62; Non-Members $67

October 8: Delaware Water Gap – Enjoy a day in the country! Includes a one hour fully narrated historic sightseeing tour of the area on an authentically styled trolley, lunch at the Big A Grillehouse, shopping at the “Country Kettle” and the Christmas Factory. Cost: Members $67; Non-Members $72

December 3: Tuesday – Hunterdon Hills Playhouse – “A Playhouse Christmas Musical” – Day includes show, luncheon and famous desserts! Cost: Members $82.00; Non-Members $87

Note: There will be an over night trip in September. Information will be posted on the website at abingtonseniorcommunitycenter.com when available.
