Advent Lessons and Carols Service
, Dec. 12 at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 35 South Franklin Street, Wilkes-Barre, at 6 p.m. The service, St. Stephen's annual Advent and Christmas gift to the community and region, will feature traditional hymns and carols sung by all, as well as choral selections for the season. A free-will offering will be received to support the music ministry of Saint Stephen's Church. Creating Gift Cards with Flair, Dec. 15 at the Everhart Museum from 10 a.m. - noon. Participants will join artist Jerelyn Abicca-Smestad for this parent-child workshop, which offers the opportunity for students ages 12 and older to experiment with pen, ink and other watercolor techniques to create a unique stained glass look on paper.
