Christmas Holiday Bureau help available

The Christmas Holiday Bureau will open Nov. 12 for scheduling of interviews.

The Christmas Holiday Bureau will help families with children residing in Lackawanna County that meet eligibility requirements. Families seeking assistance are asked to call 504.0244 to schedule an interview.

Phones lines will be available Nov.12 through 21, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., weekdays. Interviews will be conducted in Scranton and Carbondale. Wal-Mart gift cards will be distributed to eligible applicants.

The Bureau is a program of the Voluntary Action Center a United Way of Lackawanna and Wayne Counties Partner Agency.
