Festive foods are on “the Menu” at the Scranton Cultural Center at the Masonic Temple. On Dec. 3, Chef Joe Caputo and Cathy Reppert will again teach their culinary tricks, this time focused on holiday treats. Sponsored by Entercom Communications, the show will begin at 7 p.m. with a cocktail hour at 6 p.m.
Caputo, of Catering by Joseph and Zuppa! Del Giorno, will prepare a wild rice and cherry stuffing along with a pear salad. And what kind of “Menu” would it be without some of Caputo’s famous soup? He’ll prepare a surprise soup. Reppert, of Truly Scrumptious, will prepare checkerboard cookies and teach audience members how to make their own marshmallows.
Attendees will receive samples of the food prepared and a cash bar and light fare will be available for purchase throughout the evening. Tickets are $7 per person and can be purchased at the SCC Box Office, by calling 570.344.1111, at Ticketmaster.com, by calling 1.800.745.3000 or at select Wal-Mart, Boscov’s or Gallery of Sound locations. Visit the SCC’s website, www.ScrantonCulturalCenter.org, for additional information and a complete schedule of events.
