Giving back to the community was the theme of Ronald McDonaldâ??s presentation to students kindergarten through fourth grade at The Geneva Christian School in Olyphant on September 27. Ronald came to share with the kids the importance of serving the community all through their lives.

The children took that message to heart and quickly hosted a luncheon and presentation to honor their grandparents and local veterans. Held on Friday, October 19th, the special patriotic celebration featured the resuscitation of the Gettysburg Address by the 7th and 8th grade class, nationalistic songs sung by the kindergarten â?? 4th grade classes, and a debate of Presidential candidates by the 5th and 6th grade classes. Captain Peter Mielo, dad of 2nd grader James Mielo, began the celebration by welcoming all and saying grace.
The Geneva Christian School provides a classical Christian education for students in Pre-K through eighth grade. Hands-on learning about our nationâ??s history art is part of the curriculum and includes speech, music, and art.
